What Lara Adrian reading?
Lara Adrian author of the bestselling series Race midnight. The last of the series , is darker after midnight available January 24th.
I’ve always been an eclectic reader. Or perhaps the more accurate term is an omnivore. Moreover, and insatiable. As a child I spent many hours in public libraries, books, hoarding, hoarding some girls like Barbie dolls (although I admit I had my share of the property). I remember my parents befuddlement when I go home with an armful of books includes everything from novels Blume, Judy studies of African lions, books on the occult and witchcraft. I read everything I could get my hands and I’m pretty much the same way today.
So, now open on my Kindle is excellent What it means to go to war by Karl Marlantes. It has a bare, painful and moving people to fight and come home, sometimes I find it too difficult to read in a long session. This is an amazing book and courageous, and parts of me live forever. I know I’ll get out of this a different (better, I hope) person to have read.
Another book I read and enjoy The Orchard , a memoir by Theresa Weir. I discovered this author through his dark Romantic suspense novels under the pseudonym Anne Frasier. I liked his voice and telling stories, but through his blog that I discovered she was also very interesting as a person. When I heard she had written a memoir, I immediately put it on my list of must-buy. The Orchard is beautifully written, poignant memories and honest insight into the life of a young woman trying to find their place in the world.
Of course, I also have a ton of paranormal romance and urban fantasy novels – my favorite genres – to the tail. Here are some of the latest news releases and future, I look forward to: Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione; of Darkness Bound by Alexandra Ivy; say needs Stephanie Tyler; In Flames by Marjorie M. Liu; human blood by Kristen painter Hunter of Shadows by Nancy Gideon … to name a few!
I hope you find many wonderful new books to enjoy and share with others in 2012. Enjoy!
